General conditions of contract

2) How and under what conditions can you have a resort to the service?
a) How to order the service:
In every case the reservation must be sent in writing (fax, telex, e-mail etc.) to Hotel Venus. The availability of the hotel can be found in the own brochures of the hotel as well as on the www.hotelvenus.hu website.
The reservation must contain the name and address of the guest, the exact arrival and departure dates, the room type and the exact denomination of the services (e. g. meals, programmes etc).
There are different kinds of rooms in the hotel so during ordering the guests must explicitly inform the hotel what kind of room they want and in which category.
Ordering meals may be carried out at the same time as reserving accommodation but at the very latest 24 hours before arrival.
The hotel rooms can be reserved only with breakfast in every case in every hotel.
The hotel confirms every reservation in writing (via fax or e-mail).
b) The availability of the offers:
The offers of Hotel Venus – apart from daily room prices – are available for the guests only with limited room capacity.
c) How to cancel the service:
The guest takes the responsibility that he / she informs the hotel in writing about any incidental cancellation, modification or other changes of the reservation ordered by him / her before starting the service.
In case of individual reservations penalty-free cancellation is possible seven days before arrival if the contract between the hotel and the guest does not contain any other details in connection with this aspect.
As long as the guest does not arrive or he / she does not cancel the reservation until the appropriate deadline the amount of the penalty is equal to the daily room price.
In case of group reservation the conditions of cancellation are recorded when the contract is made.
d) Arrival and departure:
The hotel room can be occupied from 2 o’clock p. m. on the day of the arrival and it should be left until10 o’clock a. m. on departure day.
Early arrival between 10 o’clock a. m. and 2 o’clock p. m. 1.000 Fts / person
Late departure between 10 o’clock a. m. and 2 o’clock p. m. 1.000 Fts/ person, after agreement in advance if it can be settled.
3) Conditions of payment:
The price of the ordered services can be paid by money transfer or in cash, by credit card or with traveller’s cheque on the spot. In case of money transfer the guest is liable to enter a sum of money covering the ordered services to his or her credit if the contract between the guest and the hotel or the travel agency does not contain any other details in connection with this topic.
4) Prices:
In every case the prices published by the hotel contain the VAT that is defined by law and valid at the time of printing but they do not contain the visitor’s tax that must be paid on the location of the service. The prices do not contain the costs of travelling to and from and the fee of the tour guide either.
On the basis of § 7 in 7/2001. (III.29.) GM regulation the prices are quoted on the location of the services according to law. The guest can get proper guidance also at the reception of the hotel before the start of the service.
The hotel reserves the right to change prices.
The services presented by the hotel are invoiced per particular periods. A period is defined as the one between the starting and the finishing date of the taken service. On the basis of the relating laws according to the VAT regulation the date of accompishment is the departure day of the guest.
5) Individual services:
a) Reductions for children:
Only children travelling with their parents are entitled to use the reductions because they do not apply to student groups.
b) Half or full board:
Depending on the previous agreement between the hotel and the guest and the offer published by the hotel it lasts from dinner on the day of arrival to breakfast or lunch on departure day.
c) Programmes:
The hotel provides the guest with information about programmes and their actual prices when the accommodation is reserved or during the stay of the guest.
d) Medical services:
Our guests can use them in the hotel as well as in the Gránit Thermal Bath opposite the hotel. In case of medical services a price must be paid that is in accordance with the operative laws.
6) Making a complaint:
In case of incidental problems emerging during the period of service the guest can make a complaint in writing at the reception of the hotel until departure day.
The hotel has to investigate the complaints within three days or react to them on the merits.
7) Compensation:
The hotel is responsible for the damage caused by itself according to relating law. In case the guests fail to make a complaint on the spot they are not entitled to compensation later on.
The guest declares that he/she has learnt about the contents included in the General Conditions of Contract and has taken notice of them.
